I was watching Chris Matthews on NBC's Hardball when I first heard about Governor Huckabee's rhetorical question: "Don't Mormons believe that Satan is Jesus' brother?". Matthews thought the question was a slanderous attack against Mitt Romney's Mormon beliefs. I had to laugh at Matthews overreaction.

It probably was inappropriate for Gov. Huckabee to raise the question ... as if it mattered in a political contest. I am sure he raise the question as a teaching point to the nation's Christians. He, of course, knew what the answer to the question was.

But I really had to laugh at Chris Matthews, who acted like Huckabee had lied viciously to slam Romney's Mormonism.

Rick,

Some might want to argue that Jesus and Satan are brothers, but it just is not so. Satan is a fallen angel, created by God. Jesus is the beloved Son of God.

I agree, this is what the Bible teaches. My vote is going for Mike H. Rick b

In the end if the election comes down to Mitt Romney and a democratic nominee, I will probably vote for the Constitution party candidate, if one is on the ballot. I am really leaning toward Senator McCain as my first choice, I have found that in most presidential elections I vote using the proximity rule. Voting for the candidate that lives closest to me house. This comes from the first law of geography that all things are related, but closer things are more related.

Great post, as far as the issue of who would vote for Satan's Brother goes, I suspect some would argue that just because your brother is Evil does not make you evil. Like Jesus is not evil though Satan is.

Then in my view, Unless a true believe gets into office, and I do not see that happing, then we either vote for the lesser of two evils, or we dont vote and someone gets into office anyway. But over all, we know God is in control. Rick b
