Bible Studies

This page includes the outlines and notes for my bible studies. Most of them come from my years of teaching the bible to a small adult Sunday school class in a Southern Baptist church. They are my hand written notes based on the Sunday school curriculum from the Lifeway teaching guides. I am in debt to the ministry of Lifeway books and for their vision and desire to teach the word of God. A vision that I am called to. It is part of fulfilling the command of our Lord Jesus, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”
The studies are divided into two indices: Old and New Testament.
Old Testament Index of study notes by chapter
New Testament Index of study notes by chapter
Each study is a self-contained message from the Bible, but all attempts are made to keep each within the context and flow of previous and following passages of scripture. I strongly believe in teaching the bible in a verse by verse method to preserve the context of each verse and to avoid only teaching topics that are comfortable. The entire bible needs to be taught, read, and explored, not just what is comfortable or easy on the eyes, ears, mind, and heart.
Teaching the Bible is a gift from God given to me which I continually pray for the Lord to increase within me. These outlines and notes are built word by word, verse by verse, and line upon line. With out the aid of God: the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Father, the message of the Bible would have no power. But with God the power to transform lives is unleashed. Metamorphosis of the soul through the renewing of the mind by God writing His words upon the heart of every believing saint.
Some of my sources for the content of my notes and outlines include (1) The text of the bible from various translations, (2) The author of scripture, God, (3) Lifeway Guides, (4) Bible Commentaries, and (5) Other Christian Books.
